Sometimes a commercial stays with you, often because it makes you feel good. Perhaps you’re now thinking of a long-ago Coca-Cola commercial or a Budweiser one? For me, the hundreds of thousands of bouncy balls in the Sony Bravia ad from 2005 comes to mind. I still remember that “fun” came to mind I first saw the ad –who doesn’t have fond memories of playing with those high-bouncing, hard-to-control, vibrantly-colored balls? And, importantly, their slogan of “Colour like no other” also stayed with me. But what sealed the deal for me was when I learned that this commercial wasn’t executed with CGI. They actually dropped 170,000 super balls in the streets of San Francisco! How cool is that?!? Here’s the video of the making of the ad.
